Based on the best-selling novel by Mitch Cullin, Tideland was adapted for the screen by renowned writer/director Terry Gilliam (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Twelve Monkeys, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail). The film was released in theaters in 2006 and heads to DVD on February 27, 2007 from THINKFilm. Starring four-time Academy Award nominee Jeff Bridges (The Fisher King, The Big Lebowski), Academy Award nominee Jennifer Tilly (The Haunted Mansion, Liar, Liar), Jodelle Ferland (Silent Hill, ?Dead Like Me?), Brendan Fletcher (Upcoming 88 Minutes, Freddy vs. Jason) and Janet McTeer (Upcoming Significant Others, Waking the Dead), Tideland drifts from the fantastical imagination to the disturbing reality of a young girl with an unusual family.
