Rodrigo Lopresti

Rodrigo Lopresti (born September 6, 1976) is an American actor, musician and movie director who lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Rodrigo Lopresti was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the youngest of two children. Lopresti grew up in Miami, Florida. He graduated Miami Beach Senior High in 1995. Lopresti became the singer and guitar player of a surf-punk band called Garlands Room in 1994. The band released two "7-inch vinyl records and disbanded in 1999. Lopresti moved to New York to pursue an acting career. He worked briefly as a duck cook in Chinatown. He befriended actors Michael Pitt, whom he taught how to play guitar, Alexis Dziena, Ryan Donowho, Gray Madder, Francis Benhamou and Bennie Slay, who together made up the group of actors called The Eastsiders. Lopresti and Benhamou lived together at a Brooklyn apartment when Lopresti retrofitted a small closet space into a portable recording studio. He released an album two years later under the name The Hermitt. He played most of the instruments in the 2003 release entitled, "& The Story of the Insects."
